Stop #3 delves into Valley Water’s role as the flood protection agency for our county. Learn about the Safe, Clean Water and Natural Flood Protection Program is critical to the agency’s mission. We will briefly visit the completed Downtown Guadalupe River Flood Protection Project and get a look at the current Coyote Creek Flood Protection Project underway. This stop also highlights a few environmental restoration projects made possible through grants and partnerships with community groups.

Participants will also learn about how the infrastructure components work together to provide safe, clean drinking water for residents, help keep communities safe, address the extreme drought, and preserve our natural resources in Santa Clara County through a 4-stop series.
