WCW is seeking passionate, hard-working leaders to fill the roles of Senior Project Manager, Project Manager and Project Manager-Limited Term in our Capital Program Division..

Senior Project Manager: $128,648 – $158,522
Project Manager/Project Manager Limited Term: $111,982 – $138,008

These crucial positions are ideal for competent leader-managers who will act as the bridge between upper management, stakeholders and the leader for project management and execution.

Key assignments in these positions include ensuring project plans are sound, from the planning phase through the RFP (Request for Proposal) process to the actual oversight and completion of the project. These positions will regularly report out on project progress and monitor to ensure execution stays within the approved budget and budget schedule.

The work in these positions involves program and project management assignments and can include the oversight of construction design and engineering, oversight and coordination of software development, human resources, public outreach, communication, project construction and everything in-between.

Position Qualifications

Any combination equivalent to experience and education that could provide the required knowledge and abilities would be qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:

SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER:
Eight or more years of progressively responsible experience in project management involving the monitoring and control of project scope, budgets, scheduling, and/or oversight of design and construction of wastewater and recycled water facilities; or six years of progressively responsible work in construction contract administration including construction, management, coordination and management of capital projects.

OR

An Associate's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in architecture, civil, mechanical or sanitary engineering, construction management, or public or business administration can substitute for two years of experience. The Associate's degree plus six years of progressively responsible experience in project and/or construction contract administration involving project cost estimating, scheduling, cost control activities, and/or oversight of engineering design and construction of wastewater and recycled water facilities also qualifies in meeting minimum requirements.

OR
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in architecture, civil, mechanical or sanitary engineering, construction management, or public or business administration can substitute for four years of experience. The Bachelor's Degree plus a minimum of four years of progressively responsible experience project and/or construction management involving project estimating, scheduling, cost control activities, and/or oversight of engineering design and construction of wastewater and recycled water facilities also qualifies in meeting minimum qualifications.

PROJECT MANAGER:
Six or more years of progressively responsible experience in project management involving the monitoring and control of project scope, budgets, scheduling, and/or oversight of design and construction of wastewater and recycled water facilities; or six years of progressively responsible work in construction contract administration including construction management, coordination and management of capital projects.

OR

An Associate's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in architecture, civil, mechanical or sanitary engineering, construction management, or public or business administration can substitute for two year of experience. LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES:
A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) or equivalent organization can substitute for three years of experience

A Construction Management Certification from an accredited two or four-year university or college system, or an equivalent organization, can substitute for one year of experience.

Must possess a valid California driver's license. The incumbent must continue to meet all of the provisions of the Driving Policy as a condition of continued employment.
